Since its development in the mid-1980s, Developmentally Appropriate Practice has been a foundational part of ECE’s professional principles, ethics, and beliefs. Detractors against DAP have been present since the beginning, and still exist.
This month, let’s hear from Dr. Barbara Cooper, a courageous leader who is advocating for DAP in the ongoing quest for it to become available to everyone. Dr. Cooper will share her journey with strengthening, promoting, and supporting practitioners in implementing Developmentally Appropriate Practice. She’ll be joined by next-generation leaders who are joining in to advance the ideas of DAP.
