Robyn Carter is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who is currently the Senior Director of Youth Programs at United South End Settlements. Robyn has worked with children, youth, and families at many child welfare, mental health and community-based organizations. Robyn has a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University.
Lori Cox currently works for the Boston Public Schools as Director of the West Zone Family Resource Center. Lori has over fourteen years in the field of early childhood education and was formerly the Director of Federated Dorchester House Preschool and Assistant Director for the BPS Countdown to Kindergarden program. Lori has a Master of Science in management from Lesley University.
Marie Enochty is the Coordinator for the Cape and Islands Early Childhood Resource Center at the Cape Cod Children’s Place. She also serves as an elected school committee member in Brewster. Marie chairs the organization FREED, which supports cultural diversity in schools and communities. Marie was recently named a Children’s Defense Fund Emerging Leader. She has studied at the Bank Street College of Education in New York.
Marcia Farris is the Executive Director of The Massachusetts Association for the Education of Young Children. MassAEYC is the state affiliate of NAEYC and has seven local affiliates accross the state. Marcia has held positions at Wheelock University and the Office of Child Care Services and sits on many advisory boards as the MassAEYC representitive. She has a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and is fluent in Spanish.
Maureen Ferris is the Research and Legislative Director for the Joint Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities. She is a former child care director and teacher and trains parents in advocating for their children. Maureen holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Boston State College. She sits on many boards including the Family Justice Center of Boston, the Statewide WIC Advisory Council, the Children's Trust Fund Working Group on Health Families and the Oral Health Task Force.
Marilyn Hughes is the Director of Preschool Programs for the Cape Cod Child Development. She also sits on several school committee boards, as well as county work groups. Marilyn's work often focuses on UPK grants, and the quality improvement aspects of these grants.
Wendy Luk has been in the field of early childhood education for over twenty years. She was the program director for the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, a teacher at the Acorn Child Care Center and an adjunct faculty member at Urbam College of Boston.
Joseph Martin is the Director of Pakachoag Acres Day Care Center, a non-profit child care center in Auburn, MA. Joe serves as an elected town meeting member and a legislative liaison for the Early Education for All campaign. He is the author of several children’s books. Joe has degrees in accounting from Quinsigamond Community College and Nichols College.
Yvette Rodriguez is the Deputy Director of Program Operations for Action for Boston COmmunity Development Head Start. Yvette is one of the co0chairs for the Governor's School Readiness Subcommittee on Early Education and Care and a mamber of the Mayor's School Readiness Action Plan Team. She is also a member of the Children's Investment Fund board.
Sharon Scott-Chandler is the Vice President of Head Start and Children’s Services for Action for Boston Community Development. She also chairs the Massachusetts Board of Early Education and Care. Sharon has a degree in law from Northeastern University and was the former Director of Legislative and Intergovernmental Policy for the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General. She is on the Board of Directors for the Mass Head Start Assotiation and Project Hope.
Lisa Sockabasin is the Director of the Office of Minority Health for the state of Maine. She was formerly a Nurse Epidemiologist at the North American Indian Center. While there, she was the Co-principal investigator for a needs assessment project for the American Indian community in Boston. Lisa was selected to participate in the Commonwealth Legislative Seminar Program in 2004. Lisa completed a Master’s in Health Policy and Management from the University of Southern Maine.
Nicole St. Victor is a Curriculum Coach for Boston Public Schools Department of Early Childhood. The recipient of numerous awards, Nicole has a Master’s in Leadership, Policy, and Administration from Wheelock College and a law degree from the University of Paris.
